Rexette

Rexette was established in Birmingham, UK in 1899 though the company originally started by producing 4-wheeled vehicles.  In 1900 they switched to 3-wheelers producing a vehicle that was powered by a 550cc engine under the drivers seat with a large wicker seat at the front of the vehicle for passengers. In 1905 the vehicle was upgraded with a steering wheel replacing the handle bars and a padded armchair type seat for the passenger that also included a wrap around canvas cover to protect them from the weather. The company ceased manufacturer in 1933 but in 1914 the company had also produced a fire truck that carried a crew of three.

1905 Rexette. This vehicle is in the National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham (UK)
