Once the skin has been unwound around the frame it is then fastened together at the front by a series
of pegs above the tipi door. As the pegs can be quite high a pole is temporarily tied across two poles in the door way so that it can be used as a step ladder to fasten the tipi. On taller tipi two tied poles will be used. This picture shows Geoff standing on a tied pole and fastening up the front of the tipi with pegs whilst Kath
