photo of a mystery 3-wheeler. Alan writes: ... Attached is a picture of a 3-wheeler I almost bought in Carefree, Arizona in 2002. I spent some time looking in over and drove it about 5 miles. I was told it was built in Los Angeles around 1989. It was powered by a Yamaha 400cc 4-cyl aircooled motor, which was only running on 3 when I drove it. The steering was by means of a small wheel, chain-coupled to a
rack-and-pinion axle, and with the chain loose as found it was pretty scary!
Though offered at only $1000 I decided to pass on it because of the worn-out motor and short wheelbase. I may have more pictures of it to be found if you're interested. |
