My thanks go to John Corps for these photos of a mystery vehicle he recently purchased. John writes: I am trying to gather info on a car I have just bought from Mark Nolan in Norfolk. I am told it is based on a Kindred Spirit, but has been fitted with a mini front sub frame, engine and gearbox, the rear suspension is a single
swing arm from a metro with a coil spring/shock absorber. ... There's no way it used to be a Hudson as I managed to get a look at a Hudson chassis, and this one is nothing like it. the nearest I've seen (on your web site is a Triad (Mosquito as was) but these where two side by side seater and only 6 or seven were made. ... The space frame is made from 1" square box section and clad in alloy
sheet. The outer body is fibre glass and needs a lot of attention to make look its best. I would like to find out who the builder / rebuilder was, when it was built and what the actual components are. If anyone can shed some light one this unusual car I will be very grateful. I have started the long task of rebuilding the 3 wheeler and I am likely to require a SVA unless I can convince the
authorities that its a modified mini. Just this week I managed to get the engine running and drove it with its newly installed auto box just a few yards - this is a milestone as far as I'm concerned. and anther year or so should see it completed, which I'm sure would please the original builder.
