Fiberfab

The Fiberfab Scarab was first manufactured in Pennsylvania (USA) in the mid 1970's. The

Scarab STM (Sports Transport Module) was produced in a kit form by Fiberfab Inc who are one of the Worlds oldest and largest manufacturers of fiberglass sports car bodies. The vehicle was powered by a number of motorcycle engines that were 450cc or larger. This provided power to the single rear wheel. The front suspension came from a Volkswagen which was attached to a steel frame. The two-seater body is made in three-sections from fibreglass and is bolted to the chassis. The front of the Scarab features a Collapsible / Replaceable bumper and the body has a "flip top" roof with "pop-out" windows.
