Last Concorde Flights.

Photos taken with WQV-10

On October 18th and October 19th 2003 I went to Heathrow Airport to see Concorde for the last time.  Even though it toured the UK October 20th - 24th. This was the last chance I would get of seeing it as Concorde’s last flight is on October 24th 2003.  You may have seen Concorde many times in pictures and on film but there is nothing that beats the experience of standing at the end of the runway and Concorde blasting off at 150ft - 200ft directly above you. The noise is phenomenal and the experience something I will never forget.

Before Concorde was due to land literally hundreds of people had started to queue and cars were parked everywhere.

Lost the flying dot

BAA’s way of saying don’t turn up on October 24th 2003.

Waiting...

Classic Delta wing shape starting to appear.

Concorde “C” in the hangar.

Terminal 5 construction work blocking the view.

See that dot - its Concorde

Concord so low you can almost reach up.

Another shot that proves the WQV-10’s zoom is useless.
