My thanks got to Armin Zuercher for this collection
of fascinating 3-wheeler photographs. Armin writes: Photo 1: Late AC Invacar of 1976/77 which I met in Machynlleth, Wales the 10 July in 1990. The car probably exists no more today. Photo 2: All Cars Charly II 3-Wheeler, seen in Fuerstenfeld, Austria the 23 July in 1991. All Cars purchased the rights for the Charly-model
from an other Italian company named Autozodiaco. Funny is that my Charly II looks more modern than Pierre Rholl's Snuggy. Photo 3: BMA/Grecav. BMA of Ravenna, Italy started to build Amica 3- and 4-Wheelers in 1973. For 1992 two engines were offered a one cylinder 125cm3 5.5HP and a two cylinder 250cm3 11HP. Somewhere in the mid 1990's the BMA-assets were purchased from Grecav of Gonzaga, Italy to. Grecav
continued to build the Amica 3- and 4-Wheelers until around 1996/97 when an improved model (Amica Luna) was introduced. Since then no 3-Wheeler was built anymore, but Grecav still exists today (http://www.grecav.it). Thus I send you a picture of a Grecav Amica Automatic. On the front and back it was written Amica by Grecav. I met this car in Kemijärvi, Finnland the 24 August in 1998. Photo 4: Reliant-Meba.
This is a picture of an Reliant 1200 Meba delivery van, which I met in Patra, Greece 2nd August in 1989. That car looks like an Reliant Ant, but who is that "Meba"? If I remember correctly Meba was spelled in front and Reliant 1200 in the back. Mystery.. Photo 5: Mebea. This car is even more mysterious. That 3-wheel delivery van carried the name Mebea and not Meba as above! Him too I've seen in
Greece but some days earlier on Rhodos the 29 July 1989. |
