Archives of your 3-Wheelers.

Gallery 107

My thanks go to Doug Kutzli for these rather futuristic 3-wheeler images. Doug writes:

... I recently ran across these two items in a little antique store and thought they would look nice in my office. I purchased them and now am trying to find out something about these atomic looking automobiles. The first item (the red one) appears to be an airbrushed, artists concept of a three wheeled / dome roofed auto. I think this is probably just a print of the original. The picture doesn't show it very well, but the car has a two chrome tubes for bumpers, one of which runs around the entire car. It appears as though the engine was meant to be in the back of the car since the line where the trunk would be is the only place to access the engine compartment. The second item (the gold one) is a photograph (it says printed on Kodak paper on the back) on photographic paper of a car that is similar in design but yet different.

The photograph shows a three wheeled / dome roofed car, but with a much more "rocket"or "jet" look to the rear. On top of each fender is a missile shaped taillight and there appears to be a license in the plate holder. It appears to be a paper license perhaps used by a manufacturer for temporary use. The photograph shows a scene outside a brick building. There is snow on the ground and a fountain in the background. I am not a real car head, but I do like things reflecting 50s / 60s style and these two both have that. I would like to know what these are and especially the photo since I assume this vehicle actually existed, at least for a little while. I have done some looking on the Internet and turned up a big goose egg so far. I ran across your website and thought maybe you might have resources I don't have to identify what these are and of what vintage. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

The vehicle in these images has since been recognised as the American "Fascination"
