My thanks go to Michel Humbert for these photos of his Solyto. Michel writes:

... Here are a few pictures of my 'brand new' Solyto. The engine now works fine, the brakes do what they can, we enjoy it very much, so that we drove it exactly 280 km since we purchased it. Even my daughter drove it with much fun. We easily reach 50 km/h, sometimes more ! It must be the excess of power that caused the transmission belt to fail two days ago, as my brother was driving his first few kilometers. The problem is that I am unable to find a spare belt. On mine is written 'Ventico C40' . I didn't find a shop to sell me one, be it a shop that sells industrial transmissions, a micro car dealer, a garden machinery dealer, what else ? I found the Ventico website. They are manufacturer of belts, and they advert on moped and scooter belts. I sent them an e-mail, they just answered that the C40 was as old as my three-wheeler, but they were happy to offer two free belts that are not too far from what I need. They add that the wholegoods price of one of these belts is more than 200 francs. Not bad ?

I wrote again a week ago to Mr Spalek, the former director, but no answer yet. He could be in holidays, or just not have any idea to help. I called one of the two French owners I know, he's got no spare, so he can't help, and the other has an older Solyto with a gearbox instead of a variator.

Would it be against your policy to put me through to the other person (people) who passed you pictures of Solyto(s) ? If you do not want to give me their addresses without their consent, would it be possible to pass them mine, with the message that I'm in need of at least one belt, possibly several ?
