At the end of July 2002 the preproduction model arrived and instantly you could see that this was different from the original prototype. As the model was sprayed the paint work was a lot smoother and as a result dramatically lighter in colour. The chrome hub caps shown on the prototype had vanished and grey ones were used instead. The model now supported the new number plate ELV 214K but after closer inspection I noticed that on the 3-wheelers.com logo the full stop in between the words 3-wheelers and com was missing.
